Friday we rode the Tomahawk A and C trails. A is slightly technical, maybe a 4 out of 10 difficulty rating. The C is very technical (7 out of 10) with constant (and I mean CONSTANT) elevation changes, tight single track, rock gardens, roots, fallen trees, you name it. This is probably my new favorite trail in Lower Michigan. The loop is 37 miles and takes about 4.5 hours at a good pace. Since my 2-smoker sucks gas, we found a spot accessible by road to drop gas cans and gatorade to refill our camelbak's right about the halfway mark. We didn't get many pictures on the C loop since it was late in the afternoon and we wanted to finish before it got too dark to make out the trail. The trails weren't busy at all, we ran across one group of 3 guys on Kentucky Trail Machines, otherwise we had the entire trail to ourselves.
